Descripton: Three story concrete/brick building divided into two sections. Section 1 is a 3 story residential mockup with two burn rooms and a garage on first floor. 2 bedrooms and a closet on second floor, and an attic area with one burn room on the third. Section 2 is a commercial motel mockup with stairs leading to the second floor containing a standpipe system. The second floor consists of a hallway with 1 hotel room containing 2 closets. The flat roof over the commercial area also has a parapet wall with a series of anchors for rope operations. The peak roof of the residential area has a ventilation hole built into it with an observation deck next to it. It can be accessed either from the ground through ladder work or from the second floor flat roof using the wall ladder.

Descripton: Two elevated platforms accessible from stairs each containing a manhole opening leading down a pipe to a series of boxes connected by various size piping. The whole mockup is in a rectangle with pipes connecting a series of 6 boxes. One at each corner and one box in the middle on each. All boxes are accessible from the ground through doors that open.

Descripton: A concrete basin containing 137,000 gallons of water connected to a pump house that feeds the hydrant system at the training center. Through an opening in the fence that surrounds the pit, fire companies are able to set up a drafting operations and flow back into the pit through a manifold that allows four 2 1/2” hose lines and nozzles to be hooked up to it. Water can also be directed onto the concrete pad around the Burn Building and Drill Tower which flows back into the pit trough a series of drains.

Descripton: Five story concrete tower with interior and exterior steps leading to the roof. The tower is 50 ft. tall with a penthouse top over stairway which is 60 ft. All floors are accessible from windows on three sides for ladder work. Floors 3, 4, & 5 have two openings in the floor which are guarded by removable grates. Each floor also has doors leading to the interior and exterior stairs. The interior stairs contains a standpipe system which is fed by a FDC located on the first floor. The first floor is a closed room with no windows but does contain a sprinkler system usable for training. The building is also used for Rope Rescue with a series of anchor points located on each floor.

Descripton: A concrete pad used for cutting up cars for extrication training

Descripton: A metal container designed to allow firefighters to witness a flashover under controlled conditions. The firefighters are placed into the lower container, 3 ½ ft. below the upper container, where the fire is located and contained. The fire is started, allowed to flash and then shut down using ventilation and water to be allowed to flash again. The students are rotated from the front to the back after every flash. Depending on outside conditions, 6 to 10 flashes could develop. Twelve firefighters and four instructors are the maximum amount allowed in the simulator a one time.

Descripton: The pad is comprised of 4 different mockups that students can be exposed to. The first is the barbeque mockup which simulated a fire in a residential barbeque. The second is a 100 lb propane cylinder mockup, which simulates a fire in a commercial cylinder. The third is a split flange mockup, which simulates a fire at an industrial site that off loads propane and the fourth is the car fire mockup, which simulates fighting a car fire. All mockups are controlled by a Fire Instructor at the control deck operating the valves. The head Safety Instructor lights all mockups and has final control over operation. The system can be shut down at any time.

Descripton: Two story concrete block building with removable walls for search and rescue training. There is one door leading from outside on each floor and an interior set of stairs. The building contains an emergency ventilation system that is controlled from both the front and back of the building. The system will clear the building of smoke in thirty seconds. Smoke machine is available for use at the training center. Smoke fluid must be purchased by the gallon.

Descripton: An outside roof mockup with a shed roof, flat roof and “A” roof attached for ventilation training. Each mockup has two roof openings where 4’ x 4’ panels can be inserted for cutting by either axes or saws. Wood pieces must be purchased for cutting
