Health/Dental/Vision Insurance

Mennonite Home Communities offers employees working 45 hours or more per 2 week pay period health insurance as well as dental and vision insurance.

Flexible Spending Accounts - Medical and Dependent Care

The medical flexible spending account allows you to save pre-tax dollars for any IRS-allowed expenses not covered by your health care coverage. These expenses include deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance payments, routine physicals, uninsured dental expenses, vision care expenses (glasses or contacts) and hearing care expenses.

The dependent care spending account provides you with the ability to save money on a pre-tax basis for day care expenses for your child, disabled parent or spouse.

Indoor Swimming Pool / Hot Tub Hours/ Fitness Center

Mennonite Home offers use of the Indoor Swimming Pool and Hot Tub to employees Monday and Wednesday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm and the Fitness Room any time after a release form is on file. If employees are unable to use the pool during these hours, they may contact the Pool Coordinator to establish a time to use the pool.

Tuition Reimbursement/Licensed Nursing Scholarship Program

Mennonite Home offers two forms of reimbursement for employees who are interested in pursuing education. Please contact Human Resources if you are interested in the Tuition Reimbursement/Nursing Scholarship programs.

Employer Sponsored Benefits

  • Retirement Plan - MHC will match up to 3% of deferrals at one year employment. In addition, MHC will match $.50 on the dollar for next 2% of deferrals. Employees once reaching 2 years of service will receive 3% of their gross wages in a retirement account. (Additional qualifications apply)
  • 401 (k) - Employees, regardless of hours worked, are eligible to defer their salary into the 401 (k) plan.
  • Paid Time Off - Employees working more than 45 hours per pay are eligible to receive paid time off hours. Employees working 80 hours will receive 18 days the first year of employment, 21 days the second year, 24 days during years three through five and 29 days during years six or more. (Employees working 45- 80 hours per pay period will receive pro-rated paid time off based on their hours worked)
  • Holiday Pay - Employees required to work a designated holiday receive time and one half pay.
  • Short Term Disability - Full-time Employees receive a $100/wk. plan paid for by Mennonite Home Communities. Employees have an option to buy up this plan at a discounted rate.
  • Long Term Disability - Fully paid by Mennonite Home Communities for all full-time employees.
  • Employee Assistance Program - The EAP is provided to employees with up to 3 visits at no charge to the employee.
  • $20,000 Group Term and AD&D Life Insurance policy - Premium fully paid by Mennonite Home Communities for all full-time employees.
  • Appreciation Bonus - Each December employees are given a monetary bonus in appreciation for their service at Mennonite Home Communities during the past year.
  • Referral Bonus - Employees receive a $100 dollar bonus for referring any employee who maintains their employment for at least 3 months (125 hours). A $250 dollar bonus is paid for referring CNA's and a $500 dollar bonus is paid for referring RN's and LPN's who maintain their employment with Mennonite Home for at least 3 months (125 hours).
