Teddy Bears Galore!

Woodcrest Villa residents and staff had a "bear" of a party at the monthly Koffee Klatch on September 7. Residents and staff collected 111 teddy bears for the Susquehanna Valley Emergency Medical Services (SVEMS) ambulance team to share with children they serve. SVEMS President/CEO Mike Fitzgibbons was on hand to thank everyone for their generosity. Mike said last year the SVEMS team transported more than 150 children and being able to share the bears with them makes a tremendous difference. Woodcrest Villa Community Life Coordinator Sandy Hess planned the event, which was held in conjunction with National Teddy Bear Week. The result was a special time for the residents and children in the community.
